The story takes its readers through the adept writing of its author, Anne Rice, to the erotic extreme of BDSM where some women might want fantasize about, but few would desire for it to be a reality.Beauty is repeatedly force to endure incredible erotica rituals with strangers solely to fulfill their wanton sexual desires.As a Book Reviewer, I’ve already read several erotic novels. Anne Rice hands readers a delicious tale. If you are curious about high protocol BDSM, you will enjoy this ride. If you don't understand the basis for the story, it will just seem like a lot of spankings and humiliation. It's more than obvious that Anne Rice is experienced in kink and BDSM...bravo to her for giving readers some juicy tales to chew on!
I purchased this after reading the intro written by Ann Rice and thought it would be similar to 50 Shades, which I enjoyed. This was not reading enjoyment. A far cry from "soft porn", this was violent, graphic rape and abuse. I deleted this from my Kindle by chapter 4, as I was hoping it would obtain more of a story line...it does not.Very disappointed since Ms. Rice is one of my favorite authors. I will be sticking to her vampires, werewolves and witches.
Spanking, more spanking, and then a bit more spanking. I still don't think the slaves are enjoying any of it. I'm just very sad for everyone involved.
Cheeky, naughty, and sexy, the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy was 100x better than "50 Shades of Juvenile Writing" ... I mean "Grey."
Loved it. It took me a while to get into this book series because its something that I have never read before. I read the first one a year ago and hated it. So I thought I would give it another try because I expected what was going to happen the shock factor was lower and that fact that I was able to connect into this fantasy world. It was fantastic. I am used to reading books as I am the characters and this is one of those books I had to read as just a book. But WHOA some of the scenes are graphic and well written, after reading it the second time I was immerced in each book I couldn't put them down. I bought all of them and loved each one for different reasons. Way to go Anne I am glad I gave this a second shot.
Wow, a friend told me about these books. Once you pick one up you won't be able to put it down. Fifty shades of grey will seem like from here to eternity after you read this series.
I had actually owned/read this trilogy a long time ago but wanted to get a new copy for myself. Anyone picking this up because they like Anne Rice (who is writing under the name A. N. Roquelaure) should be advised that this is not like her "normal" stories, such as The Vampire Chronicles. To be blunt, this is an erotica trilogy, and as such, there is a lot of explicit sex.
Definitely for the sexually open minded adult reader only.
